Just 2.5 hours freeway drive from Sydney access the M1 to Newcastle, cross the Hexham Bridge heading north and follow the Pacific Hway until you reach the sign to turn right to Tea Gardens. For GPS arrivals into our rear carpark program 200 Jacob St, Tea Gardens and that will bring you to the gates.

How far is the Tea Gardens from Sydney?
Tea Gardens is 2.5 hours drive via the M1 and Pacific Hway. It is very easy to find us as there is a single turnoff from the Pacific Hway and around 10 km to drive to the resort with a simple left turn to get to our parking or front gate.
Do we need a car in Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest?
Yes you will need a vehicle to access the main shopping areas of Coles and IGA for your apartment supplies. Liquor stores are located in Hawks Nest and by the Coles supermarket.
How can I get from Newcastle Airport to Tea Gardens?
You can hire a car at fair prices and pickup at the airport stations. Or order a shuttle or personal taxi from Tea Gardens Hire Cars. Google or call 0426 101 851.
Are there outdoor activities in Tea Gardens
We have partnerships with many of the sporting and touring activity providers. Kayaking tours, access to the Hawks Nest Golf Club, hiring your own boat, and ferry trips across Nelson Bay are provided.
How far are the beaches from the resort?
Hawks Nest has two well known beaches just 4km away or 4 mintues by car. Jimmys Beach is on the bay and always calm without swell or waves an ideal for smaller children. Bennetts Beach is a surf beach and great for boogie boards and serious surfers on the right day.
Is there Fishing in the Area
The area is known for its variety of angling from river to beach to bay. All kinds of species abound for the savvy fishterman. Get advice from the bait shops. Bream, taylor, blackfish, flathead are there to be caught.
